from art to politics, abandoned places to people refound, this is a dumping ground for my imagination. Mostly limited to commentary, my burgeoning creativity takes the form of cartoons and poems, written as Ida Idris Artemis. Oh and also a Lot of Doctor Who.
Name a british actor who has never been in drag.

Anonymous asked: how much time (relative to the Doctor) do you think passed between The Renegade (War Doctor, but the wikia gives him that other name as well and I think its cool ha) regenerating, and then grabbing Rose's hand. I mean it wouldn't have happened relatively soon, he would have changed the desktop theme, come across the nestene consciousness having a presence in london. And what I think is most important, Accepted the name of The Doctor once more, since he forgot the events of "TDoTD"
Actually, the show has given us a rough estimate of that.
In Aliens of London:
Rose: “When you say nine hundred years?”
Doctor: “That’s my age.”
Rose: “You’re nine hundred years old.”
And in The Day of the Doctor:
War Doctor: “How old are you now?”
Doctor (Eleven): “Ah, I don’t know. I lose track. Twelve hundred and something, I think, unless I’m lying. I can’t remember if I’m lying about my age, that’s how old I am.”
War Doctor: “Four hundred years older than me, and in all that time you’ve never even wondered how many there were?”
Now, the Doctor’s age is subject of debate - and Moffat himself subscribes to the theory that the Doctor really doesn’t quite know - but fact is that it has been given fairly consistent within New Who. (With the exception of some major rounding up or down.)
So… we’ve been given a rough estimate of about 100 years inbetween the end of the Time War and “Rose”. Which seems about right - because one just doesn’t go from supposed genocide to saving London and picking up a new companion in the span of days or months.
But in “rose” nine is clearly still unsure of his new body. This is an early adventure for him. He’s glancing in the mirror, defensive, little unused to his voice. It seems pretty clear he’s regenerated recently, and he does have somewhat the air of just having come from battle. And as we see at with 10’s regeneration (and some of his previous classic who regenerations) the doctor becomes pretty detached from whatever he was doing once he regenerates. IN “end of time” the doctor just killed The Master for the second time and sent away all the time lords, basically killing them again, but after regenerates he’s completely bouncy and ready to get completely distracted by Amelia Pond. I bet Nine says 900 because 800 sounds kind of… juvenile. 900 is just cooler, and it fits with his regeneration number.
at my wedding, I want 9 people dressed up as the members of the fellowship of the ring to attend and halfway through the vows they stand up and start arguing until the one dressed up as Frodo shouts “I will do it, I will take the ring to the bride!”
then it just falls silent as he slowly brings me the Ring of Power
